- Qualifications needed include certification or a degree in fine art, graphic design, computer art, illustration, animation or any other art-related certificate.
- Transferable skills include creativity (being able to come up with designs), people skills (listening to prompts and details given for the work) and time management (getting the work done on a schedule).
Video Game Script Writer
- Qualifications needed include high grades in English Language and/or English Literature, and companies usually tend to hire people with bachelor’s degrees. Although not a qualification, in order to fulfil this role you must have a passion for writing.
- Transferable skills include planning skills (the ability to draft out scripts and refine them), creativity (being able to take a brief outline and improvise to get a detailed end product), people skills (working with a team to discuss ideas) and time management (getting the script done before the deadline).
Video Game Animator
- Qualifications needed include certification or a degree in fine art, graphic design, computer art, illustration, animation or any other art-related certificate, another option including completing a bachelor’s animation degree program.
- Transferable skills include creativity (in order to create the animations), the willingness to work as a team (for proficiency, working in a team to make sure the animation is perfect with contribution from everyone), immaculate attention to detail (the ability to create fluid and detail-packed animations) and absorbing information quickly in hand with time management (in order to complete work and keep to the deadline).
