Week 5: Problem Solving

Theoretical

  • For theoretical problems, I had trouble figuring out where to start on Blender. In order to solve my problem, I turned to the internet to figure out basic controls, so that I could use the program without accidentally saving or closing my project mid-way through.

Practical

  • For practical problems, I had a lot of trouble with selecting certain areas of my models to colour in with a different colour. I would end up accidentally choosing all of the model instead of a single area. I also had major problems with colour management and accidentally deleting a colour- which wasn’t the slightest bit useful as I had to constantly refer back to hex colours in order to extract a colour from my concept palette. In order to fix this, I made sure to separate all my colours and name them, along with using the select tool in the right areas to select and deselect any areas that I accidentally had or had not highlighted.
  • Another issue that I have had is my third tower not being affected by my colour choices. In order to fix this, my friend Daz will be looking at the model and correcting it accordingly, as I haven’t got a clue on how to.
